Are diploid and logous the same thing?

I am having the hardest time trying to understand haploid, diploid, and logous. Ok so is Diploid the same thing has logous? Because diploid is a chromosome from the mother and a chromsome from the father, and logous is a chromosome pair one form the mother and one from the water right?
