Scientist discover a new color?

Like the other posts, I say very improbable. Possibly there are some gaps in the rainbow spectrum, such as absorption lines, that also occur in most other light sources. Producing photons in one or more of these gaps, would produce some new tints rarely observed by humans previously, but the difference would likely be barely noticeable as different even by artists and others skilled in color perception.
