Christians: is the only reason for procreation purposes?

because when topics comes up (gay marriage, premarital , etc.), an argument from msot of you guys is "it's for procreation only" "make babies" etc etc... shouldn;t they realise that the ACTUAL purpose of is for two people who love each other. should that part of be empasised and not about procreation?
