Story Idea?

I want to write a story about Western North Carolina in the Civil War (I grew up and live there). It was divided between loyalties to the Union and the Confederacy (my family fought for the Confederacy). I would also like to explore the prejudice that other Southerners (the coastal people from Charleston, Savannah, etc.) had for us "mountain people".
